Explore our in-depth content by location or date and join us in discovering the beauty of our world.​ Okay, most of that marketing schpiel was generated by Wix when we created the blog. I thought it sounded fun in a silly way, so I kept it.
In the book Around the World in 80 Days, Phileas Fogg thought he lost his bet to complete his circumnavigation within 80 days. His daily journal had it as 81 days. He didn't check dates. Just his journal. And because he traveled eastward, each day he lost a little time. By the time he arrived back in merry old England, he went home thinking half his fortune was lost. Only when Passepartout told him the date did he discover his mistake.

Our blog is a bit of tongue-in-cheek on Jules Verne's schedule. For our first around-the-world trip, we will genuinely be gone for 81 calendar days. And just like Phileas Fogg, we will experience an extra "day" along the way--seeing 82 sunrises and sunsets as we move around the globe. The map above shows our high-level itinerary.
